Danielle Willard is a native of Almonte and graduated in 1990 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She has gained 30-years of valuable experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, private clinics, long-term care facilities, and home care before joining the Perth Physiotherapy team in 2013.

Throughout her years, Danielle has completed advanced training in Manual Therapy and continues to have a very hands-on approach to treatment. She is NDT-trained (Neuro Development Therapy), rostered in Acupuncture, and is an ADP-authorizer for mobility devices. She also specializes in assessing and rehabilitating vestibular and balance disorders such as vertigo and complex concussions.

When not working, Danielle enjoys gardening, completing serious home improvement projects, and hanging out with her 2-legged and 4-legged family.

Matthew Rice received his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 2014 and has worked as a Physiotherapist at Perth Physiotherapy since day one. Prior to Queen’s, Matt completed a BA in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Participating in several sports both as a coach and athlete since his early teens, Matt has experienced first-hand the benefits of both rehabilitation and pre-habilitation exercise. He believes in a holistic approach to treatment; recovery is more than just treating the site of pain – it’s a treatment of the whole system. Using techniques such as Acupuncture, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Neuro Kinetic Therapy (III) alongside exercise prescription, Matt enjoys helping clients of all ages and abilities return to their full potential with confidence.

When not in the clinic, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and young family, weightlifting, walking/running with his Shelties, completing projects and enjoying the privacy of his rural property.

From a young age, Cooper Rice witnessed the impact of sports injuries and other unexpected injuries on close friends and family members. These experiences ignited a desire to better understand the human body's resilience and capacity for healing.

Cooper completed his Bachelors of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2022. Prior to his university pursuits, Cooper obtained a Diploma in Heritage Carpentry and Joinery at the Algonquin College Perth Campus.

Cooper employs a holistic approach that integrates neural control of human movement, pain science, and graded exercise programming. Cooper wholeheartedly believes in guiding and assisting others to help themselves find their own strengths and solutions to support long-term behaviour change, with lasting benefits for physical, mental, and social health.

Beyond his clinic interests in physical activity and rehabilitation, Cooper finds joy in music, cooking, and gardening. Most of all, Cooper loves spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and border collie.
