What classes do you offer?
Our Fitness Studio offers a wide variety of classes that will help you meet all your fitness goals. NOTE: all Fitness Studio classes have been postponed until further notice.
What if I don’t want to take a fitness class. Can I just workout on my own?
The Fitness Studio is centered on classes and personal training sessions only. There is no option to workout on your own. There are many benefits to joining a group class, or working with a personal trainer, including that access to the expertise of a certified instructor, the motivation of working with peers, and the opportunity to make new friends and expand your social network with people who have similar goals.
What if I can’t do the exercises in the class like the other students?
The benefit of joining a class at our Fitness Studio is that all the instructors, in consultation with our Physiotherapists, can provide a modification to any exercise. Exercises are designed to provide a strategy to improve muscular strength and endurance. Our instructors all monitor the participants in the class to ensure that they complete the exercises using proper form, but if a modification is required, they will work with the participant to ensure they get the maximum benefit from a particular movement.
Why is working in a physiotherapy-centered facility so important?
As experts in movement and exercise, physiotherapists are the ideal professionals to assess, prescribe, promote, guide, and manage all areas of physical activity. Exercise is an essential component of your overall health and wellness and our classes have been developed to help you achieve your goals in a safe, effective and fun environment. Our dedicated instructors (many of whom are healthcare professionals) will help you improve your strength, power, endurance, flexibility and balance, while achieving your restoration and relaxation goals. The right exercises will improve your patho-physiology, physical impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions in daily and sporting activities. Regular participation in classes will also introduce you to some fantastic, like-minded people and enable you to enjoy the supportive Fitness Studio community.
